Announcing: RITUAL – Solo Show

For the last few weeks I’ve been immersing myself in the rituals of my creative friends before I get started on my own ritual: free-style painting an entire solo show. Starting June 30th I will be creating a huge top-to-bottom mural installation at the big warehouse space that is Think Tank Gallery in downtown LA, which is also home to my art studio. ‘Hueman Nature’ Recap

I personally want to thank everyone who came out to the opening of my solo show, ‘Hueman Nature’ at Design Matters Gallery. The night was awesome and I couldn’t have done it with the collaborative talents of Knxwledge, Justin Jackson, Brandon ‘Monk’ Munoz, and DMG, as well as the support of my family and friends!

Orisue covers ‘Hueman Nature’

Reach from Orisue wrote a really nice write-up after visiting me at Design Matters Gallery on the opening night of my ‘Hueman Nature’ show. He was an awesome dude and I got some dope Orisue swag for my time, thanks Reach!

“I recently had the opportunity to have a chat with Allison Torneros AKA Hueman, “artist slash designer slash creator,” to talk about her inspiration, psychology, fight or flight reactions and most importantly, breakfast cereal.

Ten minutes. It’s all I knew I had. All I knew I should probably take considering the amount of time Allison Torneros had so little to personally offer on the opening night of her HUEMAN NATURE solo exhibition at the Design Matters Gallery. And from within the first few minutes of her arrival, I could see that I was right.

Walking in with a grand bouquet of roses as red and vibrant as her lipstick, the artist also known as Hueman, turned heads immediately and drew attention as deftly as she drew lifelike emotions on canvas.”

Streams of Subconscious Solo Show – Hold Up Art, Los Angeles CA

I will be unveiling over 40 new works at my first major solo exhibition at Hold Up Art in Los Angeles. Through using a stream-of-concsciousness method (painting the first thing that comes to mind), I examine the essence of dreams and the emotions they evoke upon awakening. Until August 29th, I will be fundraising on Kickstarter to produce this show, and my goal amount is $4,000. Please consider pledging! Any amount over $5 will be appreciated, and you can score prints, t-shirts, and other AT merch. Watch the video below for more info, or visit my project’s Kickstarter profile.
