This was a book I made after my parents bought me brand new pastels. I think I was probably 8 or 9 years old. I crack up every time I see ”Mommy I messed up on the lips!”—because I was being apologetic and super critical of my skills even at 8 years old hahaha.
I just wanted to let you know that EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY. Chin up. And as cliche as it sounds—count your blessings. Every single one of them. Because things will get better, and everything will eventually work itself out. Give yourself patience; we live in a world of instant gratification, and we expect things to fall into our laps as soon as we want them. But the universe doesn’t work in this way.
It’s such an honor for me to be featured amongst some amazing illustrtive talent in this book! Photos after the jump.
My illustration agency did a ‘Scrapbook’ interview on me. I talk about my studio, what influences and inspires me, and my ongoing Paint By Word project. Click here to read the interview.
