‘Pleasurepain’ Print Release & Time Lapse Video

I recently finished a diptych piece titled, ‘Pleasurepain’. We as huemans all have our vices, our bad habits, and we tend to be drawn to things that simply just aren’t good for us, even if it brings us pain.

I will be releasing this piece as a two-piece timed limited edition giclee print set. It will only be available between August 10th-17th, and the edition will be limited to however many people buy within that timeframe (like the timed-release I did with 1xRun for ‘On A Good Day’). You will be able to buy from my store beginning on August 10th at 9am PST on http://hueman.bigcartel.com. As always, I will hook my newsletter subscribers up–on the night before the release, I will send out an email with a discount coupon code. :) Press the button below to view photos and the time lapse video. Better quality photos coming very soon!!!

Yo! Venice

Yo! Venice stopped by to check out my mural installation on Rose & 4th in Venice.

“Rose and 4th has become the site of the newest mural in Venice, a work by Allison Torneros. The artwork is being displayed on the building that is now home to Wicked, a hair and make-up artistry space that opened on May 15th. Wicked, owned by a born and raised Venetian, offers full hair cut and color services as well as bridal and event services and classes on blow drying and make up.”

Online art sale is now live

As a way to celebrate the re-opening of my online shop, I’ve decided to have an online art sale that showcases my latest series, ‘Time Machine’. I’m selling these originals for the price of what a print would normally cost–$80. Call me crazy, but I wanted to do this so that people who usually wouldn’t be able to afford my art could finally own an original. For one week only, I’ll be selling these for $80 (with free shipping for US residents). After June 8th, the remaining pieces will be listed at their original price of $200.

UPDATE: SOLD OUT within a matter of hours! THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone that grabbed a piece, you are appreciated! You can stil view the artwork at the link below:

Time-Based Original Art Sale

Art is something to be shared with everyone–it does not just belong to the elite that can afford it.

I’ve been told time and time again that I need to price my work higher, but this is always something I’ve struggled with because art, to me, isn’t about the money; I do this because I’m helplessly passionate. And if I’m so lucky to have other people that are just as interested in my work, who am I to not share it with them because their wallets aren’t fat enough?

And too many times have I received the email, “I would totally buy an original but right now I can only afford a print.” With that said, I’m doing something a little, well, ridiculous. I’m going to sell my originals for the price of a print. What?! Let me explain.
